Hitting 60s: Sept 1, 2012

September 2, 2012

Oliver drank two bottles of 60 mls. He’s loving this new 30 mins thing. And the going for walks thing. And the being disconnected thing. He’s awesome. Sorry there’s not much to report but at the same time, isn’t that lovely? Xo

Sweet dreams, Little Man.

Just wanted to show my support and let you know how happy I am for your family. When I nurse my little one at night I check to see if you updated your blog. Seeing the “next” button at the bottom of the page brings a smile to my face every time. Oliver is an amazing little person which is very fitting for such an amazing mom, dad, and big sister! Sending all my thoughts and prayers πŸ™‚

I love how Sick Kids is kinda set up to transition you before you leave. Own room. Sleepovers. Going for walks unescorted by a monitor or a nurse. Leaving the unit – Ollie unconnected and in a Snugglie. Yet all within the safe confines of the building. So cocooning, yet so being-at-home-like, right? There’s a huge message there – u guys r leavin soon!!!! Onward and upward!

  6. Great news!! Can’t wait to see the post that says you are bringing him home! Keep drinking well Oliver. You have lots of fans cheering you on. I read your blog while either nursing or pumping milk during the nights. Prayers are sent each and every time for your family.

  7. I have been following you post for sometime now and have considered leaving you a comment many times. we have a mutual friend I went to school with–I cannot believe all you little boy has gone through and the ups and down of everyone in you family. I read you post nightly now and often think of Oliver; always sending positive Vibes. You have shown tremendous strength I honestly do not know how you have done it being a mom can be hard at times but what you have had to go thorugh and stayed strong and positive throughout is another story. Your family is amazing and your children are beautiful and happy, From where I sit you and your husband are the reason. Sick kids is a terrific hospital and we are so privlidged to have this health care available to us. I don’t doubt for a second that you will have your whole family home before you know it and these past few months will be a distant memory. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us– ypu have been an inspiration and a reminder that people are caring and loving and humnaity is still out there. I wish Oliver the best of days a head and the strength to fight and overcome all obsticles thrown at him(hopefully there won’t be many).

As always you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
